Explore the World’s First Circular Strategy Business Simulation and a B2B marketplace

Brussels – The Blue Connection City Tour at the Salon Zero Waste

Thursday, November 14th 2019
14:00 – 18:00 the simulation session & 18:00 – 21:00 Zero Waste Fair for Professionals
Brussels BEL Building, Tour & Taxis, Havenlaan 86C, 1000 Brussels

After the success of last year’s salon zero waste, with more than 10,000 private individuals visiting, Leefmilieu Brussel is now planning to extend the event with a second day, dedicated to professionals!

On the 14th of November, you will be able to experience The Blue Connection during a 4h training, followed by a case study from a company producing bamboo bikes!

Let’s move from talking about the transition from linear to circular business models to experiencing the transition first-hand! You are invited to join our Discover The Blue Connection Session and explore the world’s first circular strategy business simulation during the Zero Waste Fair for Professionals, organized by Brussels Environment.

The Blue Connection aims at helping companies and individuals gain insights into the opportunities and challenges of adopting circular strategies.

You can already register free of charge by filling the form!

What to expect from the simulation experience?

In teams of 4, you act as the management of a manufacturing company, designing and executing a circular strategy: you decide on suppliers to source from, the quality and recyclability of materials to buy, the cost and process of reusing, recycling and repairing – in other words, the sort of challenges that any real business currently has to deal with.

What to expect from the Zero Waste Fair for Professionals?

The Zero Waste Exhibition is a showcase of Brussels know-how in the circular economy, featuring innovations from over 40 private and non-profit organizations. These companies will jointly propose solutions for the purchases of an organization, whether it is IT, logistics, mobility, buildings, maintenance, furniture or waste management.

More insights will be available during the thematic workshops and exchanges with other participants during the networking moments.

The Fair will be opened by Alain Maron, Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region, responsible for Climate Transition, Environment, Energy and Participatory Democracy.

Program:

14:00    Simulation experience

18:00    Speech by Alain Maron, Minister of the Government of the Brussels-Capital Region

18:15    Marketplace, thematic workshops and networking
